Leadership, program administration, and development of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to building a stronger and more diverse Downeast Maine. Management of a $120,000 operating budget, 4-8 staff members, and a $1.4 million federal housing project. Lead partner on inter-agency coalitions as well as regional speaking engagements and conference presentations. March 2010-Present.
FIREFIGHTER, City of Ellsworth, Maine. Protection of life and property through fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue, and HAZMAT. 2010-Present. Qualifications: Firefighter II, Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor, HAZMAT-Ops, EVOC/AVOC, NIMS/ICS. Also/Seasonally: Chilmark Fire Department (2004-Present). Previously: Topsham Fire/Rescue (2005-2009).
CAPTAIN, Bar Harbor Ferry Company (Cherryfield, Maine). Inspected vessel with capacity for 49 passengers and regular service between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor. U.S. Coast Guard 50-ton Master’s License with Towing Endorsement. June 2010-Present.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION & EXECUTIVE CHEF, Food Forward at Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine). Founded our pioneering Food Recovery program and provided developmental support and leadership to over thirty student volunteers. Founded and served as Executive Chef of Taste for Change, a non-profit restaurant that continues to provide advance volunteer and leadership opportunities, community education, and financial support for our partners. Two years after my departure, Food Forward is still in operation. 2006-2009.
ASSISTANT HARBORMASTER, Town of Chilmark, Mass. Enforcement, supervisory, and administrative responsibilities in the management and maintenance of local waterways and marinas with recreational and commercial applications. 2005-2010.
